An Charrig Mhor Eire Ogs
The Seniors Intermediate Championship replay against Gort na Mona ended in a bitter defeat on Sunday in Ballinascreen. The game was another tough encounter and a late goal from Gort na Mona made a come back insurmountable for the Eire Ogs. The final score 1.10 to 1.14.
The minors suffered similar heartbreak on Saturday will a crushing defeat by Middletown. The game couldn't be decided in normal time and a 2 goals scored during extra time sealed victory for the Armagh side.
These two defeats sees the end of competitive hurling for the year draw to a close and the club looks forward to hosting its annual dinner dance on the 29th November in the Patrician Hall. Limited tickets are still available and need to be collected ASAP to avoid disappointment.
Aireagal Chiaráin
Our seniors took the spoils in our final home league fixture of the year, with an impressive win over Clonoe. A strong opening period saw us take a commanding lead and we managed to hold off the challenge in the second half. The final game of the season will take place on Saturday (1.00p.m.) when we travel to league leaders Carrickmore. We urge all supporters to make the short journey to get behind the team for the final time this season.
On the ladies' front, the AGM goes ahead on Sunday November 30th at the clubrooms in Dunmoyle (4.00p.m.). We need as much player and parent support as possible for the club to function properly next year, so anyone who wants to help out in any way is asked to be in attendance.

Seniors record resounding win ever Cookstown
In a surprisingly one sided affair last Saturday in Cookstown the seniors garnered two useful league points to leapfrog the Fr Rocks on the division 1 table to boost their hopes of survival in the top grade for 2009. It was a low scoring affair with the Loughmacrory defence very solid throughout Noel Kelly and Mickey McGee in particular catching the eye.
Loughmacrory opened the scoring and Cookstown levelled with their only point of the first half before Loughmacrory added three further points courtesy of two Ronan Ward frees and a point from Stephen Donaghy to leave it 0 - 4 to 0 - 01 at the break.
On the resumption the visitors extended their lead with a free each from the boot of Sean Paul Slane and Ronan Ward before the home side notched their second and final point with an Owen Mulligan free. Stephen Donaghy, the only player to score from open play, sent over an excellent score from near the left side line and two further conversions, one each from Ward and Slane, concluded the scoring. They now travel to Gortacladdy to play Kildress on Saturday at 2.30 and a brace of points here would surely see them clear of the dreaded drop zone.
The club wishes to thank all who took part in Scor na nOg and good luck to solo singer Cait Ward who is through to the final in Kileeshil on 23 November.
Last week's winning lotto numbers were 4, 7, 24 and 25. Sandra Kelly matched three numbers and wins the £50. The jackpot now stands at £1,600.
The ladies league semi final against Kildress which was called off due to a fog bound pitch last week was due to be played last night (Wednesday)
Edendork St Malachy's GAC
The seniors pulled off a great win over Pomeroy on Sunday in the League. This result gave us a fighting chance to avoid relegation. It was the second time this season that the team had a full squad to pick from and this showed on the pitch as the team had a strong positive attitude going into the game and had a steely determination to get something from the match. The whole team played superbly throughout the entire sixty minutes and indeed took some great scores. The final score read 1-1 to 0-05, with the scores coming from Daniel Grimley, David Toner, Karl McGuckin, John McGuckin, Niall Morgan, Ciaran O'Connor and Brian og O'Rourke.
A Full Committee meeting will take place on Thursday 13th at 8:00pm in Edendork Primary School, all members are asked to attend.

The draw will take place on Sunday night in The Gables. All lotto money and tickets are to be left off at Brendan Currie's house.
The club would like to send its deepest sympathy to the Curran family, Edendork, on the death of their beloved Eamon and to the Stewart family, Dungannon, on the death of their beloved Joe. St Malachy pray for them.

We would like to thank the support offered by our members and friends, neighbours and Edendork Primary School, as well as support and kind words of encouragement offered by all GAA and other sporting clubs and organisations in the area and from far afield It has been very much appreciated.

An Chárraig Mhór 10/11/08
The Seniors play their last game against Errigal Ciaran this Saturday 2.30 pm at home to complete the league campaign. Victory would secure our place at the top of Division One and we will have to sit it out to see how the other games effect our chances of winning the league title. The Final of the Vincent Gormley Masters (Over 35) Carrickmore v Maghery took place last Saturday. Played in atrocious conditions both sets players gave an impressive account of themselves and after a very competitive encounter Carrickmore were able to secure victory only through a couple of late second half goals. Watch press for pictures and reports. Thanks to Maghery for their participation during the whole event and the other 10 teams who brought the competition to a whole new level this year. Thanks also to Colin Daly and Martin Mohan for refereeing all of the games, The Old Charm Inn for providing refreshments after the match and O'Neills Sportswear who sponsored the T-shirts for all the finalists. £1000 was raised through the competition which will be presented to the Termonmaguirc Patients Comfort Fund to assist with cancer care in the area. We hosted the Tyrone Scór na Nóg semi-final last Sunday in the Patrician Hall. The club would like to thanks all those who made the refreshments and stewarded at the event. Thanks also to Deena Mc Callan for her assistance with the venue. We were represented in six events - solo singing, recitation, ceili dancing, set dancing, instrumental and the quiz. Senior ACL Division 2
Dun Geanainn 0-7
An Mhaigh 1-10
An Mhaigh senior footballers made the short trip to Dungannon, last Saturday afternoon, for a vital league tie against the host club. There was much at stake in this division two derby match, with Moy requiring points to keep alive hopes of a quick return to senior football and Dungannon needing victory to give them a chance of avoiding the drop to division three.
This was Moy's first competitive fixture since losing in the Intermediate Championship Final and the players were determined to put a smile back on the faces of their loyal supporters. On a cold, wet and windy day at O'Neill Park, the men in blue succeeded in doing just that with a convincing six point win which boosted our league title prospects. The result also confirmed Dungannon's demotion to the junior ranks next season, but the Clarkes did not go down without a fight and they pushed Moy all the way in what was a competitive tussle.
Despite a pointed free-kick by Sean Cavanagh in the opening minute, it was Dungannon who appeared to be the more keener of the two teams early on. The home side led 0-3 to 0-1 after only six minutes, but were rocked by a stunning Moy goal in the 9th minute when Karol McQuade finished off a sublime move in style. It begun in defence and involved several Moy players before McQuade coolly slotted to the net. Central to that move was Ryan O'Neill, who covered a lot of ground during the course of the game and whose subsequent sweeping role helped restrict Dungannon's scoring.
Playing into the wind, Moy gained great confidence from that goal and went on to dominate the remainder of the first half. Sean Cavanagh, back from his exploits down under, converted three more free-kicks while corner back Brendan Kelly and Ciaran Conroy also chipped in with important scores to put Moy six ahead approaching the interval. Dungannon were held scoreless for 25 minutes in this half, thanks to some outstanding defensive work by the Tír na nÓg backs, although they did manage to grab a point from a free in injury-time to close the gap slightly at the break.
Ahead 1-6 to 0-4, An Mhaigh came out with renewed vigour for the second half and consolidated that advantage with the help of three more points from team captain and Footballer of the Year Sean Cavanagh. Dungannon's only reply during this period was from a placed kick, but they did score twice from play at the start of the final quarter to leave five between the teams again. This was as close as it got for the Clarkes, though, as another of Moy's All-Stars Philip Jordan kicked the final point of the game with nine minutes still to play.
The winners comfortably held out for the victory and came close to scoring a second goal when Sean Cavanagh's attempt struck the post. This was a solid all round performance by the Moy men, who must win each of their five remaining league fixtures to win the Division Two title and gain promotion back into the senior grade. Final Score: Dungannon 0-7 An Mhaigh 1-10.
Team & Scorers: Barry Gribbin; Brendan Kelly (0-1), Francie McQuade, Mark Donnelly; Thomas McNicholl, Niall Conlon, Mark Jordan; Philip Jordan (0-1) and Ryan Mellon; Anthony Rafferty, Karol McQuade (1-0), Colm Jordan; Ryan O'Neill, Sean Cavanagh (capt, 0-7, 6 frees), Ciaran Conroy (0-1).
