"Loads of people have views on that - I don't."

Tipperary manager Eamon O'Shea isn't losing any sleep over hurling's new penalty rules.

With just Wexford goalkeeper Niall Breen on the line to defend the goal, Tipp ace Seamus Callanan had a penalty saved in a SH challenge on Sunday. O'Shea has no interest in trying to shape the rules but thinks the Hurling 2020 recommendations are worth trying out:

"I'd prefer no goalkeeper! I don't mind. Rules are rules," the Premier County supremo told The Irish Examiner.

"It's a bit of drama but I'm too busy thinking about what the team is doing to worry about the rules. There's a committee on that. Loads of people have views on that - I don't.

"They've tried to address some of the issues, in fairness. And when you have a body like that doing something, it's worthwhile.

"You have to give them a chance to see whether they work or not. They may or may not."
