Tipperary will face holders Clare in the Waterford Crystal Cup final for the third consecutive year after Eamon O'Shea's men proved much too strong for UL in Dr Morris Park, Thurles.

John O'Dwyer helped himself to 1-9 (0-7 from placed balls) before being substituted at half-time. O'Dwyer's 33rd minute goal had the Premier perched on a 1-19 to 0-10 lead at the break.

Brian Lohan's students improved in the second half, but were undermined by a tally of 15 wides. Conor Kenny added a second goal late on for Tipp, who will travel to Sixmilebridge for the final next weekend.
