Hurlers take on Tyrone this Saturday
July 17, 2008
Sligo hurlers will host Tyrone this Saturday at Markievicz Park on Saturday in the quarter-finals of the Nicky Rackard Cup competition.
Although the Yeats men looked convincing against Cavan in their opening round encounter, they struggled last weekend against Warwickshire at Birmingham, tallying 21 wides before coming away with a two-point win.
The Red Hands are sure to provide more of a test this weekend than the Exiles, especially after losing out agonisingly to fellow Ulster side Monaghan last Saturday.
Mickey Gavin's side will need to look to some of their key players for the O'Neill County's visit with the likes of Keith Raymond in attack essential if the Connacht side are to get a win.
Sligo take on Tyrone this Saturday, July 19, in the last eight of the Rackard Cup with a throw-in time of 3.00pm scheduled for Markievicz Park.
