Kent wary of second London test

Sligo stand in manager John Kent believes that the Yeats County's second trip to Ruislip this summer to take on London could prove much tougher than when they defeated them in the opening round of the Connacht SFC. Before their first trip to Ruislip at the end of May Sligo had been preparing to defend their Connacht title, now the Yeats men will travel to the London venue this Saturday without their then manager Tommy Jordan and key player Eamon O'Hara. "It's a completely different scenario," stressed Kent. "We prepared very well for the Championship game in London and we were together as a squad for a long time. It would be fair to say that our preparation will not be as comprehensive for this weekend's fixture while London will be full of confidence after a good win over Kilkenny. "It will be a tough test for us and it will all be down to our attitude on the day," said Kent. Kent, who has taken over the Sligo reins along with Tony Carty for the time being, also added that this has been a difficult year for the Yeats County but suggested that they will be concentrating on the Tommy Murphy Cup regardless. "It has been a very difficult year, particularly over the last few weeks, but we are where we are and we've got to focus on doing the best we can in the Murphy Cup," said Kent.
