Saturday's results roundup
July 12, 2008
It is yet another busy day off GAA action with the last group games in the Ring and Rackard Cups while Tommy Murphy Cup is at the preliminary stage.
London advanced to a meeting with last year's Connacht champions Sligo in the Tommy Murphy Cup after a comfortable win over Kilkenny.
In the Christy Ring Cup, six of the quarter-finalists were already known before today with the crunch game involving Kerry and Meath. The Kingdom's six point win sees Meath lose out on scoring difference by a single point to Mayo, with the Royals exiting the competition.
Wicklow, Down, Kerry and Kildare will have home advantage in the quarter-finals as group winners.
Westmeath, Carlow, Mayo and Armagh will be drawn from a hat to make up the last eight fixtures.
