Brennan wary of Exiles' threat
July 10, 2008
Sligo Hurling Board chairman Tom Brennan has stressed that Sligo will need to be cautious when they come up against Warwickshire in Saturday's Nicky Rackard Cup clash with the Exiles.
The Yeats hurlers will travel to Birmingham at the weekend with hopes of a quarter-final place in the back of their minds, but Brennan believes they will need to be wary as they face a side looking for their first win of the competition after suffering defeat to Cavan last weekend.
"After losing to Cavan last week, Warwickshire have to win to maintain their interest in the competition so they will throw everything at us," said Brennan.
"They are a strong physical side and they will be difficult to beat on their own ground. But our lads have prepared very well and we'll be travelling with a lot of confidence, stressed the chairman.
Sligo will fly out to Birmingham this Saturday, July 12, around lunch time to take on Warwickshire in the Nicky Rackard Cup with a throw-in time scheduled for 7.30pm.
