Taylor looks to be positives

Former Sligo footballer Paul Taylor feels there were plenty of positives to take from their defeat to Roscommon.

A second half collapse saw Roscommon ease to a comfortable victory and book their place in the provincial decider.

Sligo supporters left Dr Hyde Park bemused after they had played so well in the first half, but Taylor told the Sligo Champion that there were positives to take from the game.

"I thought Sligo were set up quite well. We had a game with a bit of everything - two penalties, six goals, black cards," said Taylor.

"They (Sligo) were well set up in the first half and Roscommon were finding it hard to break through them and even to go for scoring chances but at the same time, when Sligo did win the ball they were playing well into the fill forward line and I think the black card had a big bearing on the game."
