Sligo manager Niall Carew believes there are many positives to take from the league campaign.

The Connacht side ended their campaign on a high following a convincing win over promoted Armagh and they can now look forward to the championship.

Carew feels that aside from a couple of their games, there were many positives to take from the campaign.

Speaking to the Sligo Champion he said: "I think that from the Limerick and Fermanagh games, the whole dynamic has changed.

"We went for more pace than anything else. That goes well for the Roscommon game. The biggest thing for us is what we've learned from the league campaign.

"We introduced probably six new players in terms of Daniel Maye, Eoin Flanagan, they are there now, Cristoir Davey, Noel Gaughan, Conor Kearns and I suppose Niall is a different player in that he has matured."
