Convention set to be quiet affair

December 10, 2014

This year's Sligo GAA convention looks set to be quiet affair.

There are very few contests down for decision at the convention which is due to be held on Thursday night.

The main talking point may well be that of the senior and intermediate football championship which both Eastern Harps and St Patrick's have put forward motions calling for changes to the format.

Sligo chairman Joe Taaffe will return to his position unopposed with outgoing treasurer Joe Queenan, the only member of the executive to be challenged for his position.

Peter Greene has let his name go forward for that role and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in the contest.
