Sligo minor footballer got the perfect boost ahead of the Connacht MFC when they defeated Mayo in the last match of their provincial league campaign.

The one-point win over Mayo came about after an impressive display by Sligo and they will be buoyed by this performance as they turn their attention to the Connacht championship.

Galway will provide the opposition in that opening match and it will be played on June 21st with the winners facing Mayo in the semi final the following month. Tweet
