FBD league: Yeats men have too much for London

Kevin Walsh's Sligo cruised to a comprehensive 1-17 to 0-9 Connacht league victory over London at Kent Park on Sunday afternoon.

Paul Coggins' London side included four players who featured in their 1-10 to 1-4 defeat to IT Sligo on Saturday night at Ballinode.

The home side lead by three - 0-5 to 0-2 before St. Farnan's James Hynes stretched their lead with a goal midway through the opening half. Both sides added two points each to leave it 1-7 to 0-4 at half time.

After the break, London full back Sean McVeigh who was one of four players who started in London's Saturday night loss got his side off the mark first.

The impressive Colm McGee who finished with a personal tally of 0-6 proved to be a handfull for the London defence.

Both sides has their fair share of possession but Kevin Walsh's team dominated the last quarter running out eleven point winners.
