http://stmarys.sligo.gaa.ie/ Underage Presentation Night: After a very successful year last year in the underage grades please note that there will be a presentation night in the Glasshouse hotel on Friday, 27th of January. On the night, league and championship medals will be presented to the successful U-14, U-16 and U-18 boys teams which is a remarkable achievement for the club. We really hope to make the night a special one for the players and parents and hope that as many from the club attend. Further details will be circulated to parents and players over the coming weeks.
Senior Manager: Barnes Murphy has been appointed as St. Mary's Senior Team Manager for the 2012 season. Barnes has a proud association with St. Mary's having been an integral member of the successful St. Mary's side that won 3 Connacht Club titles in the 70s and 80s. Everyone at the Club wishes Barnes, his selectors and players the best for the coming season.
Pitch-side Signage: Anybody interested in advertising their business on our pitch-side signage please contact Ultan Smith on 086 2587389. The pitch-side signage provides a great opportunity for local businesses to advertise their business in the community at an affordable price.
Club Newsletter: The 5th Club newsletter issued recently and has now been distributed to members and houses in our community area. It must be said that this edition, which has a review of all Club activities during 2011, is the most impressive yet. Great credit must go to Karen Breheny and Niall Murray for their diligent work and all other contributors. If anyone requires a copy contact Kevin Molloy at 087-9066557.
FBD League Game Sligo V London: Sunday 8th January saw competitive inter county action arrive at Kent Park with Sligo having a comprehensive victory over the Exiles. St. Mary's were well represented amongst the Senior Squad with Mark Breheny, Johnny Davey, the returning Johnny Martyn and Stephen Coen all current panellists. Many thanks to all the people who helped out over the past week in getting St. Mary's ready for the FBD game. It is a credit to you all that the pitch, grounds, dressing rooms, and clubhouse looked so well, and it's fair to say that the day was a tremendous success both for club and county.
