Relay Run to Croke Park for All Ireland Final 2010

On the 17th of September 2010 we are planning an historic relay run from Kent Park to Croke Park to raise funds to support the various Club teams - the first time this has been done. Sponsorship cards are now being distributed and we hope all club members will row in behind the innovative and exciting venture planned for the 17th of September. Anyone interested contact David Keane on 086 8367005 or Niall Murray on 087 2860239.

Saturday Morning Coaching: Saturday Morning Coaching continues every Saturday morning from 10.30am until 12pm, all are welcome, so if your child is age 5 to 12 years and would like to enjoy Gaelic games in a fun environment bring them along. This invitation goes out to any parents, past players, Uncles, Aunts, brothers or sisters who want to get into coaching or just help out, please come along. You can join up on the day. Remember to get your membership fee paid asap as the jerseys sponsored by John Kent Sports are ordered and will be here in a couple of weeks.
Minor: We had an excellent last quarter to overcome Tubbercurry in the first round of the A Championship on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-9. Seamus Cawley gave probably the best display of corner forward play ever seen at underage level in Kent Park and was reminiscent of a senior player of the eighties, Eamonn Delahunt and also current county star Mark Breheny. Scorers were S. Cawley 1-6 S. Cole 0-3 C. Niland, E. Gavin, K. Coen and C. Egan 0-1 each. Niall McManus, G. O'Hehir and Paddy Brady put in fine performances. We play Ballymote/Bunninadden in the next match in late August. Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm. We wish our U-16 county panelists well in the Ted Webb and Manning Cup Finals.

U-10: Training continues on Wednesdays only for the U-10's.
U-16: The U-16's face Shamrock Gaels away this Saturday evening in the A Championship (Throw-in 7.00pm). Training continues as normal this week. There are 9 Club Players part of the Tommy Breheny managed Sligo U-16 Squad and we wish them well in the Ted Webb and Manning Cup Finals.
Membership: Football membership for all Senior players is now overdue and is priced at €60 for adults and €40 for students/unemployed. Club membership is now due for all and is priced at €20 for general club membership and can be paid at the clubhouse.

Senior/Junior: The Junior team face St. Farnan's away on Wednesday evening (today) (throw-in 8pm) in the Division 5 League. The Juniors then face St. John's in the first round of the Junior A Championship this Sunday in Markievicz Park with a throw-in time of 1pm. We ask supporters to get behind the team. Training continues this week for all Senior and Junior panellists. It is important that all players attend as preparation for the Championship continue.
