Walsh: Cavan game "hugely important"
March 18, 2010

Sligo manager Kevin Walsh
Kevin Walsh believes Sunday's clash with Cavan is a pivotal match for both counties.
The Yeats County lie third-from-bottom on the Division Three table but are still very much in the promotion hunt following last weekend's dramatic win over Offaly.
They're level on points with the Breffni County (and just two points off second place) and could mount a genuine promotion surge with victory at Markievicz Park on Sunday afternoon:
"It's a huge game for both counties. Cavan had a great win over Wexford last week so they'll have plenty of confidence coming to Sligo.
"But we got an important boost ourselves against Offaly and now the challenge is to build on that. I always said that this would be a very tight division and there could be a few twists and turns yet.
"We showed great battling qualities against Offaly and that's what I was looking for after the disappointing display in Wexford. I was looking for a positive response from the players and I was delighted with what I got.
"Every team will have ups and downs in this division, but the main thing is that we are back in the mix now. The table is very tight and next Sunday's game is hugely important."
