Walsh expecting nothing easy in Wexford
March 05, 2010
Sligo manager Kevin Walsh has cited this Sunday's NFL clash with Wexford as "a big game" as his side look to pick up their second win in Division Three.
Both sides are level on two points as they look to boost their early bid for promotion and Walsh says that his team will make the trip to Wexford reasonably confident they can get the win.
"It's a big game, there's no question about that," said Walsh. "Wexford got a good win the last day and they will be going into Sunday's game with a lot of confidence but we're in reasonably good form to so we're looking forward to the challenge."
However, the former Galway midfielder is wary of the threat Jason Ryan's team pose to Sligo, especially at Wexford Park.
"No team in the country would find it easy in Wexford," said the Yeats boss.
"They have a very good home record so we know we will have to be at our best to get any sort of result. We try to win every game we play and we'll go to Wexford in a very positive frame of mind, while accepting that it will be a difficult game to win."
