Two Sligo footballers have been honoured with selection on the Bord Gais Energy Ladies Division Two 'Team of the League' for their outstanding performances at the start of the 2009 season. Goalkeeper, Katrina Connolly, and defender, Angela Doohan, were voted in by opposition managers to the team which consists of 15 players from all over the country. A total of 45 players from 22 different counties across the country in Divisions One, Two and Three were invited to the ceremony at Croke Park to collect their awards. The Division Two 'Team of the League' reads as follows: Katrina Connolly (Sligo); Aoife Dwyer (Tipperary), Sinead Brennan (Leitrim), Angela Doohan (Sligo); Aoife McGovern (Waterford), Yvonne Barden (Longford), Siobhan Costello (Tipperary); Grainne Nulty (Meath), Angela McDermott (Tipperary); Gillian O'Brien (Tipperary), Sharon Little (Fermanagh), Orla Fegan (Down); Edel Hanley (Tipperary), Michaela Downey (Down), Aileen Pyres (Down).
