Senior The division league leaders Tourlestrane were visitors to Corballa on Saturday evening. A strong breeze blew towards the Mayo end for the whole game and the visitors had the advantage of it in the first half. We contained them well and went in at the break trailing 0-6 v 0-2. We scored directly from the restart and kept going till we eventually took the lead with 4 minutes to go. From the resulting kickout the visitors drove up the field and scored a goal and from the following kickouts scored 1-1, to end what should have been a morale boosting victory against the league leaders. However the team played with great spirit and showed that the hard training of the last few weeks is starting to pay off. Next week we travel to Coolera.
