Tommy Carr gives Roscommon no chance of beating Cork on Sunday.

The Rossies shocked Sligo to win the Connacht title a fortnight ago, and will be hoping to spring another huge surprise against the Rebels at Croke Park. But Carr, who managed Roscommon to a 0-14 to 1-10 victory over the Munster giants en route to their last All-Ireland quarter-final appearance in 2003, can't see it happening.

"Being honest, I don't give them any hope. If Cork play to their capabilities, I think they'll win by anything from eight points up," said Carr, who recently stood down as Cavan manager.

Reflecting on the Rossies' 2003 win at Hyde Park, Carr said: "The day just sort of unravelled for Cork, they were under a bit of pressure.

"They'd two players sent off and it was the day a spectator entered the field and the Gardai had to be called. Even with that and two men sent off (Brendan Jer O'Sullivan and Colin Corkery), I think we were still lucky enough to hold on at the end." Tweet
