Kilcormac/Killoughey manager Danny Owens is adamant that his charges can win the Leinster club SHC title on Sunday.

The Offaly champions take on Kilkenny kingpins Ballyhale Shamrocks and despite having won the provincial title in the last three years, Kilcormac/Killoughey go into the match as massive underdogs.

Owens admitted to the Midland Tribune that he is happy to have that tag and feels that it takes some of the pressure of his side.

"We don't mind. We don't pay too much attention to what the bookies say," said the former Offaly All-Ireland winner.

"At the end of the day, it is two fit and able teams who have done enough to reach a Leinster final. It will be difficult for us but it will be difficult for them as well. We don't fear them and we actually can't wait for the game.

"Preparations have gone well. We have eased off a bit in what we have been doing to try and keep lads fresh for the final. If we give our best performance, we have a very good chance of winning it."
