Decision made to scrap €100 tickets

February 03, 2012
The Offaly County board has opted to scrap its €100 ticket scheme and replace it with a club levy.

A proposal by the Tullamore club was widely accepted by delegates at last week's county board meeting. It was felt that in the current economic climate, it would be virtually impossible to sell the tickets.

Instead, clubs will have to pay a fee determined by the size of the club and it will be left to them to decide on how to raise the funds required.
