Hurlers bid for silverware
February 03, 2012
Offaly hurlers will be hoping to pick up an early season bit of silverware when they take on DIT in the Walsh Shield Final on Sunday afternoon.
Following last weekend's morale boosting win over Wexford, confidence in the camp has been restored after the surprise defeat to Westmeath the previous week.
Although, little will be thought of the Shield come later in the year, Offaly manager Ollie Baker will be keen to instil a winning mentality in the side.
The former Clare hurler is expected to continue running the rule over a number of players, but with the start of the league fast approaching, he will be looking to get a settled side in place.
