Committees established to appoint managers

August 13, 2010
The Offaly County Board has set up two committees to help appoint hurling and football inter county managers for the 2011 campaign.

Seven men will be on each committee with county board chairman Pat Teehan and secretary Martin Boland sitting on both committees.

Hurling manager Joe Dooley has not signalled his intentions yet, but it looks likely that the Seir Kieran clubman will remain in the job if he wishes so.

The same may not be said about Tom Cribben, who has stated his interest in remaining in the role for another term, but he may be faced with some opposition.

It is expected that a decision will be made on both positions over the coming weeks and in time for the latter stages of both the county hurling and football championships.
