Minors looking to bounce back

July 30, 2010
Offaly's minor footballers will be looking to put the pain of their Leinster championship final defeat behind them tomorrow when they take on Mayo at Dr Hyde Park.

Ken Kellaghan's team were shocked when they finished on the wrong side of a 0-14 to 0-8 score-line against Longford - a side they mauled by 20 points in the opening round - and will be up against a tough challenge in form of the Connacht champions.

Kellaghan has called in Clara's John Flattery into his starting team from that game, as David Hanlon misses out through injury, and he will be hoping his side won't leak goals at the back in the same way Galway did in the Connacht decider earlier this month.

The two teams meet tomorrow (Saturday) at the Roscommon town venue, where throw-in is at 12.30pm.
