Two groups of five in MHC
March 12, 2010Last year, there was one large group of ten clubs and the result was that many teams were given walkovers towards the latter stages of the group phase.
In a move to remedy this scenario, the CCC ruled at the March County Board meeting that this year there will be two groups of five, all playing each other on a round-robin basis.
With just four games in the initial stage of the competition, interest should be maintained for the duration of the competition and we should - in theory - have fewer meaningless matches. Tweet
