Committee meeting: There will be a Shamrocks committee meeting on this Thursday night, 2nd July, in Rahan clubhouse at 8.00pm Senior Hurling League: Our senior hurlers suffered their first defeat in the league on Saturday evening last when they went down to Coolderry on a score-line of 3-26 to 0-13. Short a whole host of players Shamrocks gave their all but were far inferior to the Ken Hogan trained Coolderry. Standing on the terrace for both games, everybody in the vicinity from all the competing counties had only good comments to make about the facilities. Shamrocks Underage News Kearney reaches 150: Shane Kearney continues to lead the under 10 skills after last Thursday evenings session reaching 150 points. Michael Hickey is making huge strides and has moved into second place. The like of Johnny Minnock, James Larkin and others are really impressing on the blocking and hooking which was introduced last week also. Michael O Brien, Aaron Lambe and Jack Hennessy have just broken through the 100 point barrier also. The Minnock brothers, Johnny and Joey won the certs for most improved players this week. Well done to all participants. Keep practising at home and on holidays!! U14 Football: The under 14 footballers remain unbeaten and received two more points in the Championship when they received a walkover from Kilcormac/Killoughy last Wednesday evening. U16 Football: The under 16 footballers were defeated on Monday evening by Kilcormac in the opening game of the championship. The final score-line was 3-11 to 0-10. These players must all make an effort to attend training at all times. U12 football: The under 12 footballers had a good win after a great game of football in Tubber on Saturday morning against Ballycumber/Tubber. The sides were level at half time but Shamrocks ran out winners on a score-line of 3-07 to 2-07. Well done to everyone. U10 Hurling: The under 10's played two great matches against Kilcormac/Killoughy in Rahan on Sunday morning last. Well done to everyone who helped out in any way.
