The Central Competitions Control Committee have agreed to a request by Offaly to bring forward the starting time of their All-Ireland football qualifier against Wexford on Saturday week. The game was originally pencilled in for 7pm at Wexford Park, but has now been brought forward to 2.30pm. This is to facilitate supporters who also wish to attend Offaly's All-Ireland hurling qualifier against Cork in Tullamore on the same date, which throw-ins at 7pm as scheduled. However, should the football tie go to extra-time, the chances of Offaly supporters attending both games would be remote given the distance between both venues. Tweet
