Gracefield captured the Casey Cup with a thrilling 1-13 to 1-12 Division One final victory over Walsh Island at Bracknagh last Sunday. The winners got off to a flier to lead by 1-4 to no score after 15 minutes and thereafter held on through five minutes of injury time to take the spoils. Captain Adrian Dunne scored their goal and Kieran McEvoy clipped over five frees, while Alan Mulhall notched 1-6 for the losers and was unlucky to miss a last-gasp 45-metre free by just a few feet.
