Dicksboro are Feile champions

Kilkenny city side Dicksboro were crowned Feile na nGael Division 1 hurling champions following a 3-14 to 0-5 victory over local side Kilcormac/Killoughey in Tullamore yesterday.
Two goals inside a minute from Michael Phelan and Kevin Kenny helped Dicksboro to a 2-5 to 0-2 interval lead, and they had tagged on four points on the restart before Kenny settled it with his second goal.
In the Division 2 final, Portlaoise atoned for their defeat in last year's decider by overcoming St. Patrick's, Portaferry (Down) by 4-6 to 1-4. Gary Bergin was the hero for the winners with a hat-trick of goals.
A great weekend for Laois hurling was added to by Tinnahinch's 5-7 to 4-3 victory over Seir Kieran of Offaly in the Division 3 decider. In the Division 4 decider, Barry Coulter scored a last-gasp goal to give Armagh's Cuchulainns a 4-3 to 3-5 win over Padraig Pearses of Roscommon.
St. Oliver Plunkett's of Westmeath defeated Clonad/Ratheniska of Laois in the Division 5 final by 5-5 to 0-6, while Offaly's Ballinamere/Durrow were 1-6 to 0-7 winners over Cavan's Woodford in the Division 6 final.
