Monaghan ace Conor McManus is still two months away from a return to action.

The Clontibret attacker - who has represented his county both as a forward and in defence - underwent surgery on his hip last month and will remain sidelined until March at least.

This means he's set to miss most of the national football league.

Manager Eamonn McEneaney will be sweating over the fitness of McManus, who has developed into one of the Oriel County's key men.
