Minor team news
March 18, 2010
It was disappointment on the double for Monaghan's two minor teams that were in action last weekend as the footballers slipped to a two points defeat to Armagh in the Ulster minor football league and the hurlers shipped a 10 points defeat to Tyrone in the minor hurling league. This Saturday both are in action again. In the Ulster minor football league Monaghan will play Down in Ballybay in a game where both will be looking for their first points as Down lost to Dublin last Saturday by 3-11 to 0-8. In the minor hurling league Fermanagh will play hosts to Monaghan in Lisnaskea and again both looking for their first points as Fermanagh were defeated by Donegal last Saturday and with this section being limited to four teams the team that loses on Saturday is effectively out of contention.
