Well done to Monaghan senior Ladies on a great win away to Dublin on Saturday. Going in at the break only two points down against a strong wind they rallied in the second half. A very spirited performance from the girls sealed victory on the shoreline of Dublin 0-08 Monaghan 0-13. Well done to all concerned.
The under 14 girls continued their winning start to the year with a win against Cavan in Inniskeen on Saturday. The girls took a while to get to grips with the windy conditions and went in at the break 1-01 to 2-05 down. Scores were hard to get for the first ten minutes of the second but driven on by the impressive Leanne Maguire, Monaghan got to grips with it and won out 4-07 to 3-07 in the end.
HURLING
Carrick Emmets played Craobh Rua, Camlough on Saturday last. This was the second game of the Ulster league. After losing to Buncrana in the first game this was an important game and the Carrick lads put in a super performance to see them win by 1 17 to 2 07. Next game is this Saturday at 4.30 in Corduff against Ardoyne. All support welcome.
