Corduff club notes

March 16, 2010
Monster 25 Card Drive: The long awaited Corduff GFC 25 Card Drive took place last Sunday. I think everyone will agree it was an enormous success and everyone had an enjoyable day, with plenty of card games, craic and fun. After an exciting final TM Smith Baileborough was the eventful winner of first prize €4000. The remaining finalist was Tony Callan, Tommy Marron, Hughie Mc Nally, Brendan Reilly, John Hamilton, Kevin Boylan, Ann Brennan and each received €500 each.

Thank You: A massive thank you to everyone who made the 25 Card Drive a success, to everyone who came out and played on Sunday and when heats were taking place, to everyone who sold tickets, those who held card games, those that help set up the hall, helped on the day organising the hall, those who helped prepare and serve the food. Without this help the card game would not be possible.

Reserve Football League: Last Sunday we travelled to Cremartin to try and build on our previous week win. The first half was very close and nothing separated the sides at half time, the score line Corduff 0-04 Cremartin 0-04. Help Needed: Corduff GAA relies on the generosity of parents, players and members, this is going to be a challenging year for everyone, but our aim is to provide the best standard of service we can in our magnificent facilities. The only way we can do this is through our Club lotto, this is the main source of finance for the day to day running of the club, and its helps buy the footballs, bibs, water bottles and the upkeep of our brilliant facilities that all our members and players use. Help is currently needed with selling tickets within the area and selling tickets in Carrickmacross. If anyone is willing to help please contact Mary Woods on 0872871006
