Seniors: Played Killanny last (Wednesday) night. We play Killeevan in the next round of the championship after the draw on Monday night. Seniors: Emyvale 1-8 Clones 0-8. This game got off to a very controversial start, when the referee saw fit to issue a Clones player with two yellow cards and a red within two minutes of the throw in. This had quite an unsettling effect on the the Clones team and led to a disappointing first half performance, Emyvale leading by 1-5 to 0-1 at the break. The second half saw a much improved display, with six different players getting on the scoreboard. The boys could only get within three points of the home team, however, and were unable to get the goal needed to equalize.
