LADIES
A great week for our girls started on Monday last when our under 14s beat Aghabog
on a score line of 5-13 to 1-4 well done all. On Sunday our minors travelled to Sean mcDermott's and came away with a four point win. This was a very tough game in very warm conditions but they stuck to the task and held out for the win. They even could afford to concede an own goal in the first half was it our captain or goalie.
We would like to thank Killanny for inviting our under 10s to their sports day on Sunday and they all got medals after the match.
On Saturday nine of our players were involved in the under 16s basketball team who won the Ulster community games final in Monaghan. Well done to Alison o Hanlon, Amy Traynor, Carrie Martin, Aoife Brady, Laura Mc Daniel, Julia Larney, Ciara Larney, Nicole Kieran, and Naomi Cogan. It was a great performance winning by 56 to 16.
The Ladies club would like to congratulate the boys under 14s team who won the county title on Saturday beating Emyvale 2-12 to 1-6 well done to all concerned.
Next Saturday our under 12s are playing a semi final away to Tyholland at 12noon all support would be appreciated. Our under 16s are away to Donaghmoyne on Thursday at 7-15pm.
Please keep Sunday the 16th of August free for the Joey Gartlan Memorial day. We hope to have a ladies match on the day so we ask all Mums, Aunts, Nieces, Grannies, or any ladies interested
in taking part to come along. Its a day for all the family with refreshments served.
