ASAP.
Two HSE representatives, Susan Kenny and Anne O'Farrell gave a presentation on the outcome of a survey that had been part of a project that was started in 2006 regarding the levels of alcohol consumption and levels of smoking among players. 27 clubs in Co. Monaghan had taken part in the original survey, the results of which would be published later this year. The aim of the overall project is the promotion of player health with emphasis on nutrition, alcohol and sports performance. After the findings of the project have been published the HSE has offered to deliver an education programs to the clubs involved.

Due to that postponement the senior hurling championship final will not now take place on July 26th.
