HURLING.
In the Silver Hill Foods reserve hurling league last Thursday evening
Clontibret defeated Carrickmacross by two points in Carrickmacross while
Truagh had a comprehensive victory over Latton. This evening Thursday, June
25th there is one game in the Silver Hill Foods senior hurling league with
Clontibret at home against Castleblayney while in the reserve hurling league
Inniskeen are at home against Carrickmacross and Monaghan Harps have home
advantage over Truagh with all three game timed for 8.00p.m..
Thursday Next, July 2nd sees the opening round of matches in the 2009 Silver
Hill Foods sponsored senior hurling championship with three games down for
decision. Reigning champions Castleblayney who completed a five in a row
last year open the defence of their title against Carrickmacross in
Inniskeen, Inniskeen themselves travel to Castleblayney to take on Monaghan
Harps while Clontibret face Truagh in Gavan Duffy Park, with all three games
at 8.00p.m..
