Nobber's Brian O'Reilly clears his lines against St Colmcilles in the Meath IFC at Slane
Nobber 0-12 St Colmicille 2-5 Nobber made it two wins from two in this years IFC thanks to a hard fought victory over St Colmcille's in this game played on Thursday evening in Slane. After a long delay in the opening moments of the game due to a serious injury to the Colmcille's no.8 Nobber were the first to settle and led by 4 points to 1 after 24 minutes and seemed to be in control. However St Colmcille's hit the next three points without reply to put them right back in the game. Then Alan Farrell pointed to give Nobber the lead going into injury time. However the whistle did not come soon enough as Nobber switched off and allowed St Colmcille's in for the first goal of the game, the teams going in 1-4 to 5 points at the break. Nobber came out the strongest in the second half and two early Brian Farrell frees brought them back level. Then came the second goal of the game for St Colmcille's putting them three ahead. That was as good as it got for the Colmcille's and Nobber managed to hit the next four point before St Colmcilles last score of the game left the sides level once again. Nobber were not finished yet and deservedly took the win thanks to a late Niall Farrell free Best for the winners were Brian O'Reilly, Gavin Farrelly and Alan Farrell.
