Giles back as Skryne win

July 27, 2005
Trevor Giles made a surprise return to competitive action as he helped Skryne to their second championship win of the season against Seneschalstown. After missing Meath's championship campaign because of a shoulder injury, Trevor Giles made an appearance for Skryne in their senior football championship clash with Seneschalstown on Tuesday night in Navan. The former Player of the Year came on as a half-time substitute and helped the holders to a 3-8 to 1-8 victory. The blues lost their first two SFC games this year but have moved back into contention for a place in the quarter finals after two consecutive wins. Giles' injury lasted the 30 minutes of club action but it is thought that he still would not have been in contention for a place on the county team had Meath managed to beat Cavan two weeks ago.
