Castletown progress

Castletown qualified for the quarter finals of this years intermediate championship with a gutsy display against Donaghmore/Ashbourne in Seneschalstown on Saturday evening. Castletown 3-6 Donaghmore/Ashbourne 1-10 Castletown got of to a good start with Kenny Smith firing home the opening goal after 10 minutes. With Damien Ginnity and Alan Smyth adding points and Smyth adding a goal to leave in (2-2) to (0-4) at half-time. The second half brought Donaghmore back into it with plenty of scores from the dead ball. And they looked to be on the way to the knock out stages when Damien Ginnity stepped in two minutes from full time to bag the winning goal and a place in the knock out stages for the North Meath Men.
