Two sweetly struck spot kicks proved decisive as Carnaross edged out Syddan in the IFC quarter-final. Carnaross 2-8 Syddan 0-12 Castletown proved to strong for Carnaross in the final B League game of the year played in Carlanstown. Carnaross started the game well and raced into an early 1--3 to 0-0 lead. However Castletown slowly got a grip of the game and at half time led by 2-4 to 1--4. Carnaross again started the second half well .However they missed a number of chances to go ahead. Castletown once again finished the half well to win by 2--11 to 1-8 Best for Carnaross were Thomas Nugent Gary Carroll Killian Porter and Declan Reilly.
