U21 B FC: Title for St Ultans

St Ultans are u 21 B champions with a well deserved win over a battling Moynalty side at a well appointed Kilmainham.

St Ultans 2-7 Moynalty 1-3

The winners lead from the start and it was hard work and a strong team work that laid the foundations for success.

The impressive Tony Smyth, settled Ultans nerves with a goal in the first minute. It was a low scoring first half with further Ultans points from Ronan Breslin helping the cause.  The midfield pairing of Conor Smyth and Ronan Galligan ensured that Ultans were dominant for the opening period. The winners went in at the break 1-3 to 1-1 in front.

The second half was a tight affair with team coach Paddy Diamond making a few changes to ensure his team stayed on top. 

Cian Dolan popped up with 2 points and further points from Tony Smyth and Darren Kavanagh helped keep the winners in front. 

Moynalty to their credit kept fighting for the cause and were rewarded with a goal on the 25th minute to leave only 4 points between the teams.

John Brogan (sponsor) and County Board Vice Chairman Peter O'Halloran present the U21 B Fc Cup to Sean O'Hoireabhard.

St Ultans didn't panic and put the result without doubt with a well worked goal from the skillful Darren Kavanagh.

It was relief all round with the final score of  2-7 to 1-3 and team captain Sean O'Hoireabhard collecting the cup and delivering a well versed speech.

Best for the winners were Martin Dolan, Tony Smyth and Ronan Galligan.
