Skryne gathered two valuable points in their fight against relegation from Division 1 of the B League. This was a good game played on a dull evening in Skryne on a wet and slippy surface. In a very close first half the lead changed hands on a few occasions until Niall Morleys goal near half time gave Skryne a three point lead at the break 1-8 to 1-5. Dunboyne's goal came early in this half when they played with the benefit of the breeze into the road end goals.

While the first half was evenly contested Skryne piled on the pressure from the start of the second period and out scored their opponents by 1-6 to 0-3 with two of St Peters three points coming late in the game.

The platform for this win came from the experienced pair of David McGoldrick and Aidan Tuite In midfield and the accuracy of Allan Carty up front. Also to the fore were the younger brigade of John Morley, Cian Lynch and Neal Burke while the minors Oisin Gryson, Darragh Campion and Jason Fox added much needed speed and enthusiasm into the team.
