Saran O'Fionnagain Wolfe Tones

Trim 7-09
Wolfe Tones 3-12

Trim qualified for the semi final at the expense of Wolfe Tones scoring  5 second half goals which ended Wolfe Tones' interest in this competition after a very entertaining and closely contested first half after which Trim led by 2 points on a score-line of 2-7 to 2-5.

Tones opened the second half in determined fashion and thanks to 1  03 from Saran O Fionnagain were in a promising position by the 38th minute. However Trim sensing the danger rose to the challenge and were level by the 40th minute. Hitting Tones on the break repeatedly over the next quarter they added 4  01  and while Tones never gave up they couldn't find the scores they needed as Trim defended  in  depth.
