Having received a bye in the first round and a walk over in the second Kilmainham  got their Junior D campaign off to a successful start with a comfortable win over  Slane in Castletown on Friday evening last.

As early as 30 seconds on the clock Danny Farrelly fired over Kilmainham's first point and with further points from Fergal Black, Philip Mahon, James Hennigan and a goal by Timmy Foley Kilmainham led at half time 1-11 to 0 -.3

Kilmainham's dominance  continued in the second and with two goals from Peter Smith and points from Jamie o Sullivan,  Philip Mahon and James Hennigan  ensured they secured their first win.
Best for Kilmainham were; Philip Mahon, Matthew Mullen, Stephen Woods,  Jamie o Sullivan, Danny Farrelly and James Hennigan.
