Work on Dunganny to start this month after contractor appointed

A grant of 200,000 euro has been approved for Dunganny.

At the pre-convention meeting of the Meath County Board infrastructure committee chairman Noel Dempsey reported that the €500,000 grant from Croke Park for the development at Dunganny has been approved.

Dempsey said that Brendan Sammon from Co Leitrim was the chosen contractor after a number of tenders were considered. The project will cost just less than two million euro.

It was also announced that work on the drainage will commence on November 28th with the rest of the work scheduled to begin on December 12th.

Chairman Conor Tormey and PRO Martin O'Halloran called on clubs to give as much support as possible to the race day at Fairyhouse and the car draw on Sunday, November 30th which is an important fundraiser.
