St Pats defeated North Meath gaels to advance to the MFC Division 3 final

St Pats 2-10 North Meath Gaels 0-8

The sun is shining and with both teams potentially playing their last game of 2014 anticipation is running at an all time high. With new fitness coach Shane McGinty on board the Pats have grown in stature and confidence is high entering this semi-final.

The Pats playing at home should be the more comfortable but are nervous non the less in front of a large crowd. They however started the stronger playing against the wind, showed some great team play with off the shoulder running.
The forwards showed for every ball but over complicated it at times and got turned over .The backs worked hard and moved the ball out quickly to try and feed the inside forwards. The Pats looked in the driving seat at half time.

NMG however did not come to Stamullen to make up the numbers and put the Pats under severe pressure for 15mins of the second half. They started to control midfield and won every breaking ball for that quarter. The Pats stuck to their game plan and never panicked, they rode the storm as a team, showing discipline and workrate and finished strong too win out and book themselves a Final spot in Pairc Tailteann on Fri 7/11/14 at 20:15.
The hard work though is yet to come in the final v Killary Emmets and the team with the greater hunger and desire in their bodies will prevail on the night. Lets hope our lads can rise to the occasion. Please come out and support this bunch of hard working lads.
