A bright opening quarter from the Tones saw them score  2-03 without reply, the early scores coming from Saran O'Fionnagain (2-02) and Tadhg Skehan (0-01).

TheYellow Furze side settled in to the game for the rest of the half and after gaining a foothold around mid-field added 1-01 in the second quarter but would rue four wides during the same period. Saran O Fionnagáin added a point for the Tones to leave the half time score Wolfe Tones 2  04 Seneschalstown 1-01.

Senescalstown scored a goal in the opening minutes of the second half to leave just 3 points between the sides but Oisin Mac Ghinneartaigh (1-00), Iarlaith O Kelly Lynch (0-01) and Alan Lynam (0-01) steadied the ship for the Tones. However showing admirable spirit Seneschalstown replied with  (1-01)  to leave a scoreline of Tones 3-06 to Senescalstown 3-02 with 15 minutes to play.  That was as close as Senescalstown got however and Wolfe Tones added 1-03 in the closing stages , the points coming from Oisin Mac Ghinneartaigh, Ben Lowe  and Saran O Fionnagáin who also added a goal from a penalty.

This was a very competitive game which saw good displays from Saran O'Fionnagáin, Oisin Mac Ghinneartaigh, Alan Lynam, Ryan Stapleton Neil Murray Jake Mc Fadden and Mark McKeever.
