Clann Na nGael had three points to spare over St.Brigid's in this well contested Division 3 League game played in Athboy on Sunday morning.

A goal each from Ronan McDonagh and Graham Geraghty in the first half set the home side up for this victory. Clann Na nGael led 2-07 to 0-4 but St.Brigid's hit back with 1-2 just before half time to leave the half time score Clann Na nGael 2-07 St.Brigid's 1-06.

Clann Na nGael had to work really hard in the second half to keep the visitors from getting closer and they got it down to 2 points at one stage. Good points in the second half from play from: Martin Keogh, Ronan McDonagh, Graham Gergahty and Gary Woods helped to seal the victory. This was a much improved performance from the home team and had good displays from Ronan McDonagh, Martin Keogh, Graham Geraghty and Jamie Shaw.
