Duleek/Bellewstown recorded a second draw in this year's championship match against Walterstown in Ashbourne on Sunday.

They could have walked away with a victory but full forward Conal McGinley missed quite a difficult opportunity from a placed kick from long range in closing stages of the game.

Stephen Nolan opened up sides scoring account through a placed kick and McGinely stepped up seconds later and pointed from a free kick on the other side. D/B played against the wind in the second half and they held their own for this period. Further points from McGinely and Kieron Collins left it 1-03 to 0-04 at the interval with all to play for in the second half.

Graham Geraghty's men had the wind in the second half and they dominated in periods. Once again it was Nolan who opened up the scoring from a free kick. Further points from Conal McGinely (0-04), Mark Collins (0-01) and again Nolan (0-01) left it all square at the final whistle. It took two goals from Walterstown, one in each half to keep them in contention as the scores finished up level.

Best for D/B were Ricky Nolan in goal, Kevin Mc Cann and Shane Crosby were solid in defence while Nolan did well in midfield and Conal Mc Ginley was busy up front.
